Fire Danger Set to High

By Administration Raechel Ehlers
June 19, 2019

Due to the current and predicted weather conditions Vashon Island Fire and Rescue has moved the Fire Danger to High. In these conditions, we strongly encourage caution if you burn you must have a burn permit (link below) for all recreational fires (cooking fires and fire pits included). Given that the Fourth of July is right around the corner we encourage you to review our Fireworks and Wildfire safety page listed below, a printable PDF copy is also linked below.

Neither King County Fire Marshall or Puget Sound Clean Air has yet issued a Burn Ban, HOWEVER, be sure to check daily using the phone numbers or web addresses on your burn permit as this status may change at any time.
