Vashon Island Fire & Rescue has a vacancy for a Fire Commissioner Position #5. The vacancy will be filled by appointment after an interview process is held. This position is scheduled to be on the General Election Ballot on November 7, 2023, at which time, the ELECTED person will serve out the remainder of the term, which is until December 31, 2027.
Interested citizens of Vashon Island may submit a letter of interest and a statement of qualifications to the district’s Board Secretary no later than 5:00pm on Monday, April 17, 2023, at:

Letters may also be dropped off in person at the district’s administration building located at 10020 SW Bank Rd.
Candidates selected to interview will be contacted no later than April 18, 2023. Interviews will be conducted at a Special Board Meeting to be held on April 20, 2023, at 5:30pm. The meeting will be held in-person and via Zoom. An appointment may be made at this meeting.
