With the changing weather and wetter conditions, King County Fire Marshal Eric Urban will officially lift the Stage 1 fire safety burn ban for unincorporated King County midnight, Monday, Sept. 30.
The decision comes in coordination with the King County Fire Chiefs Association also lifting its ban.
“I want to express my gratitude to everyone for following the burn ban this summer,” Urban said. “Your commitment to reducing fire usage is appreciated by our first responders and fellow community members. Thank you!”
As we resume the use of fire for clearing yard debris, Urban asks residents to continue to exercise caution and adhere to all relevant rules and regulations.
